During skills testing, an instructor will not be present since the manikin & computer will guide you through the BLS skills. If you are doing the virtual skills testing, the instructor will monitor you over the camera or your phone. Bring your smart phone to class. RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) Program
The American Heart Association has developed a program to offer a convenient way to attain certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Students take an online course,  then practice their hands-on skills one on one with a VAM (Voice Assisted Manikin). During the skills session, an instructor will NOT be present since the manikin and computer will guide you through your skills. However, if you need help, you can call us during your hands-on skills testing. 

Registration
1. Online course sent 4x per day, If register after 5pm, sent next day.
2. Complete the online course (2-4 hours). Start and stop as needed.
3. Skills test one on one with the VAM (Voice Assisted Manikin)

Add Ons
Some people register for only the PALS course. During the registration process, some people sign up for BLS, ACLS, and/ or First-aid. If you signed up for an Add on class, then you will have to take the online course and skills testing for that Add on selection. If you are taking the Bloodborne Pathogens or Opioid class, we will send you the 30 minute online course. You can claim your certification card online on your own after your course, or can choose to have the card emailed and texted or printed out and mailed to you.

Course Name: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Length: 3 hours online, 3 hours in classroom
Course Price: $280 (includes online course, in person class session, and NRP Certification)

Step One: Once you are registered you will be entered into the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) NRP Learning Platform database. You will then receive an email from noreply@nrplearningplatform.com to activate your NRP account.

Step Two: Once you have activated your account, we will email you the required NRP online course the next business day. The online portion takes on average about 3 hours to complete. You will receive a Certificate of Completion once everything has been completed. You MUST complete the online portion to attend the in person classroom portion.

Step Three: You will participate in a 3 hour hands-on performance session with an instructor for all skills. The integrated skills stations will focus on communication, teamwork, and combining the NRP algorithm. To perform in the 3 hour instructor led class session, you must complete the online portion first! If the instructor asks for a copy of your Certificate of Completion, you must be able to provide a copy. We suggest you save it to your phone.

Step Four: After completion of your hands-on session and the course has been graded, you will log back into your NRP LP account to access the American Academy of Pediatrics™ (AAP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program eCard.

CEU Credits
The CEU credits will be issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics™ after you complete part one of the online exam. Log into your account and claim the credits after completion.

Who should take this CPR & First-aid class
Childcare providers (EMSA approved), Teachers (clear credentials), personal trainers, summer camp counselors, coaches, foster care, social workers, maritime (US Coast Guard approved), nannies, parents, grandparents, babysitters (ten years or older), construction, acupunctursts (approved by State of CA Acupuncture Board), emergency response team, and general workplace. You are allowed to bring someone with you (If the student is under 18, they must have an adult come with them to class.) Description: Infectious disease control, childhood injuries, & diseases, nutrition (AB290), and lead poisoning
